Data Fulfillment Specialist

Currently, Vision Technology is seeking a Data Fulfillment Specialist to join our team. 


  • Junior level resource with 3-5 years of experience managing/entering data and interacting with vendors to fulfill requests. #1 Priority - Market Data Experience
  • Financial, Metrics, and Process Improvement
  • Process all incoming license requests. This is primarily what the role is. Resource would enter data into inventory system and process requests with vendors. Mid level resource (3-5 years of experience).
  • Looking for someone with experience managing vendors. Candidates with experience in business, finance, supply chain management, contracts, purchasing, economics, quantitative methods or organization and management would be a fit for this role.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Day to day activities include researching contract and vendor details from internal database platforms; building complex Excel spreadsheets, assigned to several projects related to vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with software knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) are required skillsets for this position
  • Candidate will be communicating daily with internal business users and external vendors to reconcile vendor invoices, and should be familiar with most functions of Outlook.
  • MDS Requests Mailbox: (75%) a. Acknowledge request b. Ascertain type of request & determine if more information is needed c. Obtain cost approval d. Review vendor service in FITS & determine if we can transfer a license e. Email vendor(s) to setup accounts for service requests f. Send confirmation email that request has been completed g. Update FITS with user & billing information h. Ensure billing is setup correctly w/vendor
  • New Service Requests: (11%) a. Research vendor & provide detailed information b. Contact existing vendor & secure pricing for new service(s) c. Setup Free Trials d. Assist with processing custom benchmark requests e. Assist with receiving contracts & submitting to legal for review f. Creating new platforms/accounts in FITS system to include pricing record
  • Exchanges Requests: (8%) a. Bloomberg Portal (Real Time Exchanges) b. Email Vendor Directly for Access c. Serve as back-up for monthly exchange reporting d. Serve as back-up for EMRS reporting system
  • Misc. Projects: (6%) a. Metrics Reporting b. Creating reports in FITS inventory system c. Serve as back-up for creating surveys in FITS d. Management Directed

    Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Excel proficiency (basic formula creation, pivot tables, hyperlinking) will be required for benchmarking analysis. Candidate must have a keen attention to details and deadlines for projects.
  • Ideal candidates have an understanding of basic vendor relationship management and an entry level understanding of procurement functions.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel building complex reports to submit the business for review.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with software knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) are required skillsets for this position
  • Experience working with vendors

  • Specific Skill Set Required: Vendor Management
  • Knowledge of Market Data and working with vendors (preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of FITS inventory system (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of legal contracts for market data services (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (debit, credit, run rate, fiscal, G/L, etc.)
  • 5+ years senior administrative experience to include:
  • Strong phone skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
